Nine finalists of the second stage of the Aviadarts 2018 competition were determined in the Western Military District among the crews of the Su-34, Su-24MR, Su-30SM, Su-35S, Su-27SM, MiG-29SMT and Ka-52 and Mi-8 helicopters.

Competitions took place at three airfields and three ranges of the district in the Tver, Leningrad and Voronezh regions. In total, more than 30 crews from air formations, in 8 regions of the Central and Northwest Federal districts, took part in it..

The pilots had to perform the tasks of air navigation, aerobatics independently and in pairs, to work out the combat use of missile and bomb weapons on targets for accuracy.

Winners of the Western Military District stage will participate in the final competition of Aviadarts 2018 in May.
