Russia and India to agree a contract for supply of 48 Mi-17V-5 helicopters

The contract to supply India with 48 Russian Mi-17V-5 helicopters has been fully agreed upon, RIA Novosti on Friday, Deputy Director of Russia's Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC) Vladimir Drozhzhov.

"The contract for the supply of 48 Mi-17B-5 helicopters is fully coordinated and we are waiting for the final decision of the leadership of India on its signing." We hope that this will happen in the near future, "said Drozhzhov at the Defexpo-2018 exhibition.

The fact that Russia plans to conclude a contract until the end of 2017 to supply 48 military transport helicopters Mi-17V5 India and begin its execution in 2018, said the general director of the Russian Helicopters Holding Andrei Boginsky. Later, Vladimir Kozhin, the presidential aide for military and technical cooperation, said he hoped to sign the contract in 2018.
