Aurora Airlines, being a subsidiary of Aeroflot, has won the most prestigious national aviation Wings of Russia - 2017 award in the Air Transportation on Regional Routes nomination according to the results of the 2017 year. 

The 21th ceremony of awarding the winners of the annual national airline Wings of Russia award took place on April 10, 2018, in Moscow.

Wings of Russia award is the only professional rating event that allows to objectively estimate the activity of the Russian airlines on a range of indicators, and is the main annual national airline award. For twenty-one years Wings of Russia award remains one of the most important annual events in the air transport industry calendar and became not only a symbol of a recognition of success of airlines-winners, but also the objective illustration of realities and the tendencies existing today in air transport industry.

The airlines, participating in the Wings of Russia competition, applicants of an award in twelve nominations, represent practically all air transport industry of the country. There are the largest airlines, regional carriers, operators and brokers of business aviation, helicopter operators and airports.

Aurora Airlines is the largest and dynamically developing air carrier in the Far East. Aurora Airlines strives to be a leader among Russian airlines and to ensure dominant positions in the air passenger market in the Asia-Pacific region. The strategic targets of the airline are increasing the mobility of population, ensuring of transport accessibility of the territories of the Far Eastern Federal District at a principally higher level of quality and efficiency.

In 2017, the airline transported 1,548,221 passengers that is for 12.5 % more than in 2016. For domestic flights – 1,163,653 passengers, for international flights – 84,568 passengers. In 2017, the social important flights performed by Aurora within the Sakhalin Region were used by 63,291 passengers. 36,216 passengers were transported within the Primorski Krai that is for 43 % more than in 2016. For interregional subsided flights, they transported 58,246 passengers in 2017.

The basic Far Eastern airline Aurora has become the diploma winner of the national airline Wings of Russia award in 2013 and 2015 and for the second year in a row is recognized as the best regional carrier in the country according to the results of the year (2016 and 2017).
