The Aerospace Forces Lipetsk Air Centre launched a tactical flight exercise of attack and fighter squadrons for training the flight and engineering personnel while bringing them to combat readiness higher levels.
The main task of the exercise is to destroy the aviation equipment at the simulated enemy’s airfield. This task is to be carried out by a Su-25 attack aircraft squadron covered by MiG-29 fighters. In the course of dogfights against an “enemy” fighters simulated by Su-30SM and Su-35S aircraft, MiG-29 fighters are to clear the airspace. The Su-25 attack aircraft will cross the simulated enemy’s air defences and will deliver a missile-and-bomb strike at ground targets.
After aircraft landing at the home airdrome, the engineering and flight personnel are to be trained in decontamination of aviation equipment using individual chemical protection means.
In total, more than ten crews of fighter and bomber ASF aircraft are to take part in the combat flights.
