Within a routine sortie, the corvette Boiky successfully performed artillery firings at surface and air targets at sea. In addition the corvette supported drills of the Baltic Fleet’s deck helicopters.
Ka-27PL and Ka-27PS naval helicopters fulfilled deck landings on the corvette Boiky at sea, both at day and night time. In all, more than 45 landings were made, 13 of them were conducted at night.
The corvette artillery teams carried out live firing drills from AK-630 and A-190 artillery shipborne systems. Towed shields were used as targets.
The crew also conducted the ship’s air defence exercise repelling with artillery fire the simulated enemy’s air attacks from various heights and directions.
Having completed fire tasks, the ship worked out a number of shipboard exercises – on electronic warfare, damage control, anti-sabotage defence.
