Kamchatka pilots of Pacific Fleet Naval Air Force carry out training flights in difficult weather conditions

The Pacific Fleet's local naval air base practises the piloting techniques in difficult weather conditions amid

The main task of the training was to improve the skills of piloting and interaction during the assigned tasks in the difficult weather conditions on the Kamchatka Peninsula.

The MiG-31 high-altitude jet interceptors, ASW Il-38 aircraft and Ka-27 helicopters, and also Mi-8 helicopters were involved in the drills. By day and at night, the pilots worked out take-offs and landings at low clouds and reduced visibility, as well as piloting in groups, and conducting flights over the sea waters.

In total, about 15 aircraft were involved in training flights.
