The Air Force and Air Defence formation of the Eastern Military district has fielded the new S-400 anti-aircraft missile system.

Currently, the anti-aircraft units of the Eastern Military District are learning to operate new hardware at the Ashuluk training ground (Astrakhan region), where s scheduled tactical live-fire exercise will take place in April.

Today the S-400 crews have performed first training (electronic) launches.

Therefore, the S-400 missile systems will be on alert in several anti-aircraft formations round the Eastern Military District.
