The Russian airline Azimut, which is based in the new airport Platov at Rostov-on-Don, will increase the fleet to eight SuperJet 100 aircraft by the end of April, the CEO Eduard Teplitsky said at a meeting of the council on investments, TASS reports.
"Now we are in the stage of receiving the sixth vessel, within three weeks the fleet will increase to eight aircraft," he said, adding that the planes will arrive in April.
In March, the airline received the fifth SuperJet 100 aircraft. As reported, the carrier plans to increase the fleet to 16 aircraft by 2022.
Also Teplitsky said that by the end of summer Azimut will start flights to Armenia and Kyrgyzstan, and from autumn 2019 to Germany and the Czech Republic.
