Aeroflot today celebrates the 20th anniversary of the launch of regular flights between Moscow and Omsk. The first flight between the cities was operated on a Tu-154 aircraft on 29 March 1998.
Since then over 2 million passengers have flown on this route. Steady demand is demonstrated by the high load factor of Aeroflot’s regular flights, with an average passenger load factor of 85%.
Aeroflot currently operates two flights per day to Omsk on comfortable Airbus A320 aircraft, and the airline plans to increase this frequency to three from August 2018, including flights operated using Boeing 737s.
Continuous development of the domestic route network is a priority for Aeroflot. Over two decades of regular flights to Omsk, Aeroflot has gained the reputation of a reliable carrier – passengers often fly from Omsk to Moscow to continue their journey on to Europe, the US and other popular destinations.
Travelling with Aeroflot gives residents of Omsk access to the extensive flight network of the Sky Team alliance, as well as other advantages such as convenient connections at many international airports.
