Pilots of the mixed air formation, the Eastern Military District, for the first time have practised redeployment on an alternate aerodrome to train intercepting mock enemy.
A pair of latest Su-35S jet fighters redeployed from the home station in the Khabarovsk Krai to the Burevestnik aerodrome, Iturup Island.
The pilots covered in total more than 2,000 km.
Having completed the tactical mission, the crew returned back to the home station. The event took place as part of air borders guard training.
