Russian Ministry of Transport proposes to oblige airlines to install the Glonass navigation satellite system on airplanes that carry out commercial air transportation. The notice of the development of the relevant draft departmental act is published at regulation.gov.ru. This is reported by Vedomosti newspaper.
"Establishment of requirements for the installation on the civil aircraft of the Russian Federation performing commercial air transportation of the navigation satellite system Glonass," the notice said. The planned date for entry into force of the document is August 2018.
Earlier, Rostransnadzor ordered airlines to equip airplane salons with video cameras. Later, the Ministry of Transport proposed to postpone this requirement until 2019.
