At the airbase in the settlement of Kubinka, Moscow region, the MiG-29 fighters of the Swift aerobatic team held a flight tactical exercise.

During the event, the two standby aircraft scrambled to intercept aerial targets approaching the simulated air border. During the training, the ASF crews carried out electronic launches of guided air-to-air missiles, engaging all the targets.

Besides, flight crews of the Swifts aerobatic team worked out elements of a short manoeuvrable dogfight “pair against pair” The enemy was simulated by Su-30SM aircraft of the Russian Knights aerobatic group and An-30 early warning aircraft.  In addition, pilots of the Swifts aerobatic team worked out landing at an airfield in the mock contaminated area.

Up to 10 crews of MiG-29 fighters were involved in the event.
