The new Russian aircraft carrier can be built not by one enterprise, but by the cooperation of Sevmash and Severnaya Verf, the president of the United Shipbuilding Corporation, Alexei Rakhmanov, said. This is reported by RIA Novosti.

"Sevmash has shown that it can do it (build aircraft carriers), and we will complete the first stage of modernization of Severnaya Verf in 2019. Of course, you can not build an aircraft carrier in one enterprise, but if you combine modular construction cooperation, including with the help of the capacities of the Severnaya Verf", - Rakhmanov said, answering the question of which company will be able to build a new aircraft carrier.

Earlier, in February, it was reported on the construction of a new aircraft carrier complex for the Russian Navy, which, possibly, will carry a fifth-generation fighter of the Su-57 on its board.
