The Aviadarts 2018 first stage has been launched in units and formations of the Russian Aerospace Forces.

More than 250 pilots of tactical, long-range, transport and army aviation are involved in the competitions in military districts.

The Su-27SM3, Su-30SM, Su-35S, MiG-28SMT jet fighters, Su-24M and Su-34 bombers and Su-25 assault aircraft, Il-76MD transport aircraft, Tu-22M3 long-range bombers and Mi-8, Mi-24, Mi-35, Mi-28N and Ka-52 helicopters.

Pilots will practise air defence, air reconnaissance and firing at ground targets.

The first stage will last till the end of the next month.
