Russian lessor VEB-Leasing several years ago concluded contracts with Transaero Airlines for the supply of 22 aircraft Boeing 737 MAX and 20 Airbus 320 neo. But now the company can not find buyers for them. This reported by Kommersant newspaper with reference to the top managers of three leasing companies and two airlines.
As the newspaper notes, orders were made even before the fall in 2014 prices and before the Transaero went bankrupt and stopped flights (in 2015). The sources of the newspaper reported that for all 42 aircraft prepayment was made, which is at least 10% of the purchase price, but can reach 15-20%. The refusal of VEB-leasing from aircraft will lead to its loss.
According to the data, the market price (half of the catalog price) of one А320 neo aircraft is approximately $ 56 million, В737 МАХ - $ 58.5 million. Thus, the total amount of a deal could be about $ 2.4 billion, and the advance payment - about $ 240 million.
Earlier it was reported that VEB-leasing is going to sell a contract for the delivery of Airbus A380, which were ordered for Transaero. The carrier stopped flights in October 2015, and in September of last year was declared bankrupt.
