An Emergency Ministry’s Antonov An-148 plane has carried out medical evacuation of a seriously ill woman from Kaliningrad to Moscow.

The patient is in urgent need of highly-qualified and high-tech medical aid.

The flying hospital is rigged with modern equipment and special medical modules, ventilators and cardiac monitors allowing providing medical care aboard.

During the flight the patient was accompanied by medical specialists of the Emergency Ministry’s State Central Airmobile Rescue Team (Tsentrospas) and Healthcare Ministry’s All-Russian Disaster Medicine Center Zashchita.

Once in Moscow, the woman is going to be delivered to the Healthcare Ministry’s National Medical Hematology Research Center.
