The Su-24M bombers, equipped with SVP-24 Gefest sighting and navigation systems, eliminated a mock hostile training camp in the primary stage of flight tactical exercise in the Trans-Urals region.
Before the bombardment, reconnaissance aircraft carried out aerial reconnaissance in the insurgency prone area. The Su-24M airplanes dropped 250-kg high-explosive bombs at the identified coordinates.
About 300 troops and 12 airplanes were involved in the five-day drills.
