First Su-34 fighter-bombers squadron established in Southern Ural

The first Su-34 fighter-bombers squadron in Central Military District has been formed in Southern Ural.

Currently, crews undergo flight training on new aircraft in the State Aviation Training Centre of the Russian Ministry of Defence near Lipetsk. It is planned that they will return to the base in first six months of 2018.

The Su-34 aircraft is designed for engaging ground and air targets by day and at night in any weather conditions. The flight range is up to 4,000 km, maximum speed – up to 1,900 km per hour.
