Emergency Ministry’s jet carries out medevac of seriously-ill children from Simferopol and Grozny to Nizhny Novgorod and Moscow

An Emergency Ministry’s Sukhoi Superjet 100 has taken off today from Vnukovo international airport to carry out medical evacuation of two seriously ill children from Simferopol and Grozny to Nizhny Novgorod and Moscow.

The flying hospital is rigged with modern equipment and special medical modules, ventilators and cardiac monitors allowing providing medical care aboard.

During the flight the patients are going to be accompanied by medical specialists of the Emergency Ministry’s Tsentrospas team, of the Healthcare Ministry’s All-Russian Disaster Medicine Center Zashchita and a psychologist of the Emergency Ministry’s Center for Psychological Aid.

One of the children will be transported to the Volga Federal Medical Research Center in Nizhny Novgorod and the second to the Bakulev national medical Research Center for Cardiovascular Surgery in Moscow.
