Ukrainian authorities have prohibited supplies of D-436 engines for civil aircraft to Russia, said Russian Deputy Minister of Industry Oleg Bocharov on Monday during round-table in the State Duma.
The D-436 engines are manufactured by Ukraine’s Motor Sich company.
"I regret to announce that Ukrainian authorities have prohibited the supplies of 436 engine for civilian purposes," Bocharov noted.
D-436 is a three-shaft high by-pass turbofan engine developed by the Ukrainian company Ivchenko-Progress.
D-436 engines are currently mounted on An-148 airplanes and Be-200 amphibious aircraft.
