An-148 debris strewn across area over 30 ha

Debris of the Antonov An-148 plane that crashed in Ramenskoye District, in Moscow Region, are scattered within an area of more than 30 ha, said first deputy head of the Emergency Ministry’s National Crisis Management Center Igor Kutrovsky.

During a meeting of the Governmental Commission’s working group he also added that the search operation is not stopping for a moment, “We have enough forces and facilities at the crash site – 900 people and over 100 units of equipment. The operation goes on round the clock in shifts,” Mr. Kutrovsky said. Representatives of the Investigative Committee are also working at the scene.

According to Mr. Kutrovsky relatives of all the dead are getting all necessary assistance. “Hotels are ready to accommodate them in Moscow and Orsk,” he added.

29 Emergency Ministry’s psychologists are attending to the families of the killed, while identification of the bodies is underway in Moscow and Orsk.
