The campaign «I do good things in Russia» was held at D Terminal with the support of Sheremetyevo on December 5 on the National Volunteer Day. Within the framework of the campaign, passengers unexpectedly received special gifts from the airline. Flights attendants of Rossiya congratulated the passengers, told about the volunteer movement in the country and offered to join the volunteer campaign.

Everyone could donate personal belongings, which will later be transferred to charity foundations. Stickers «I do good things in Russia» were pasted on the luggage of passengers who joined the volunteer event, after which they were given special gifts from the airline: souvenirs, aircraft models, and certificates for free flights.

One of the campaign participants, flights attendant Evgeniy Osokin, told about his own volunteer experience: « I have been doing charity work and have been participating in the volunteer movement for more than five years. These are blood donation, trips to orphanages, and a wide range of activities for children. A couple of months ago, my colleagues and I participated in the Tiger Day in Vladivostok, representing our airline as the official partner of the Amur Tiger Center. I am very proud that there are so many so many caring people among my colleagues. The airlines develops its own volunteer programme. Donor Days are regularly held, gifts are collected for children and adults with oncological diseases, career guidance on board the aircraft, and various dedicated to take care of those who need help. Today’s event is a bright evidence that it is easy to help and do good things».

Alena Ryabchikova, flights attendant, also shared its experience after participation in the campaign: «I am very glad that nowadays I have an opportunity to demonstrate my best professional and personal qualities not only onboard, but also on the ground by participating in Rossiya’s volunteer campaigns. Our company pays special attention to charity work. Every day, the numbers of volunteers at Rossiya is increasing. Volunteering gives you wings».

We would like to remind people all over the world celebrate the Volunteer Day on December 5. In 1985, the United Nations organization offered to celebrate the International Volunteer Day on December 5, for the sake of economic and social development. This holiday is officially celebrated since 2017 in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation. The year 2018 is declared the Year of the Volunteer in Russia.
