Aeroflot opens the sale of tickets for Rossiya’s new flights to Bangkok (Thailand) and Colombo (Sri Lanka). The first flight within the framework of the airline’s regular timetable are planned on December 10 and 17 respectively.
With the beginning of the winter timetable, Rossiya has significantly updated its route network. One of the main innovations of the winter season are flights to Bangkok and Colombo. Flights will be operated on Boeing 777-300 liners. High-capacity aircrafts - Boeing 777-300 Extended Range, which are designed to carry 457 passengers, will operate the route Moscow - Bangkok – Moscow during the period New Year holidays high demand. from December 10, 2018 to January 20, 2019.
Direct flights to Colombo will be operated 5 times a week. Flights will be departing from Moscow at 22:05 (local time) (SU 6265) on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, and return flights will be accomplished at 10:45 (local time) on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Flights to Bangkok, which is popular among Russian tourists, will be daily operated at 07:10 there (SU 6275) and back at 21:50 (SU 6276). The airport of departure is Sheremetyevo’s D terminal.
Along with the expansion of the geography of flights, Rossiya is working to improve the quality of provided services. A part of the airline’s economy class seats have an enlarged pitch, which equals to 34 inches. The airline launched the streaming of media content using SIFES (Streaming In-flight Entertainment System) servers. Streaming entertainment system will allow passengers to connect gadgets (phones, laptops, tablets) to the internal Wi-Fi network, where passengers can find and watch the newest movies, listen to music and use other programs free of charge.
