The MiG-29 fighter dropped the fuel tanks during takeoff from the airfield in Yeisk. This was stated in the press service of the Southern Military District. This reported by Russia Today.

The incident occurred during takeoff from the airfield of "central combat use and retraining of the flight personnel of naval aviation of the Navy" in Yeisk.

"There has been a loss of additional outboard fuel tanks," RIA Novosti reported.

"The fighter carried out a training flight" reported radio station "Govorit Moskva" (Moscow speaking) with reference to the press service of the Southern Military District,
