The Grobunov Kazan Aircraft Plan has launched first samples of the Tu-160 modernsed bomber, Deputy Defence Minister Alexey Krivoruchko announced being on working visit to the enterprise.

"Now we are manufacturing the first samples of the aircraft. Of course, mass production will commence in the near future. We will wait for the maiden flight, development work, then a decision will be made on serial deliveries," said the deputy head of the military department.

"We are meeting the deadlines of the undergoing works. We have no issues of concern," the Deputy Defence Minister said.
