The crews of the army aviation regiment of the Southern Military District, stationed in the Stavropolsky Krai, have trained to intercept low-flying low-size and low-speed air targets of a mock enemy in severe weather conditions.
The pilots made a visual search for unidentified targets flying at altitudes below 50 meters at speeds of up to 200 kmph, tracked and forced them to land.
During the event, special attention was paid to improving skills of crews in carrying out flight missions at night using satellite navigation and infrared equipment.
In total, during the training session on interception of airborne targets, each crew of the army aviation made at least four sorties.
