The crews of the Su-25, Su-30M2 and Su-27SM3 mixed aircraft of the 4th Army Air Force and Air Defence of the Southern Military District, stationed in the Krasnodar region, successfully completed tasks during flight tactical exercises at the Opuk training ground in the Crimea and Temryuk district of Kuban.
Aviation of the assault air regiment was relocated to an operational airfield. After completing measures to transfer to the highest levels of combat readiness, military pilots received combat orders and within 10 minutes left the airfield. More than 10 attack aircraft fully equipped in pairs took off from the airfield.
Pilots practised takeoffs and intercepted aerial targets. Moreover, leading and trailing aircraft carried out anti-missile maneuvering, detected mock enemy and engaged target by missiles.
Assault aircraft made several combat missions with launching of unguided missiles and the use of guided air bombs. As a result, personnel engaged targets simulating dump, POL materials, ammo depots, and manpower of the mock enemy.
During the exercise, attack aircraft made more than 40 missions, completing about 80 tasks to defeat ground objects of a mock enemy at the Opuk training ground in the Crimea.
When performing flight tasks, the crews spent about 400 different aviation ammunition, including more than 30 NAR S-8 air bombs.
The total flight time of the crews exceeded 80 hours.
