The pilots of the attack aviation of the 4th Air Force and Air Defence Army of the Southern Military District in the Stavropol region completed the training flights programme for the 2018 training year, operating modernized Su-25 and Su-25SM attack aircraft.

In total, during the training year, pilots of the attack aviation performed about 10,000 training sorties, spent more than 9,000 hours in the sky, which is 30 percent more than last year.

This year, the crews have practiced coverage of the state border, improved the skills of air maneuvering, made flights at maximum ranges and at different altitudes, in any weather conditions, both at day- and nighttime every week within four flight shifts.

In addition, the attack aviation performed combat training tasks as part of joint actions with the units of the army aviation and during the flight tactical exercises.
