Rossiya Airlines tightens measures against smoking onboard

Rossiya Airlines tightens measures against smoking onboard. In case of a smoke detector triggering, the discovery of tobacco smoke odor or another passenger’s complain, crew members will call law enforcement officers upon arrival at the airport of destination to arrest the violator and bring them to responsibility in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation or the country of arrival.

The priority task of ensuring flight safety requires a rigorous respect for compliance with the rules of conduct on board an aircraft. Rossiya Airlines leaves unpunished no cases of violation, bringing to justice those who by their actions threatened the safety of the cabin crew and other passengers. This measure is dedicated to ensure compliance with safety and security norms onboard, as well as to reduce the number of violations during flights.

Rossiya Airlines would like to remind that the safety of the flight depends on the compliance of passengers with the rules of conduct onboard.

Flight safety is one of the top priorities of Rossiya Airlines’ activities. The airline is struggling with any cases of inappropriate behavior towards employees and customers according to the legislation. The law amending the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, which provides for criminal liability for manifestations of destructive behavior in various types of transport, was adopted according to the initiative of Aeroflot Group. Changes made to the legislation, toughen the responsibility of passengers for committed offenses. In June of this year, Aeroflot began to blacklist passengers, who will not be allowed to fly with the airline for a year. The work carried out by domestic airlines with cases of disruptive behavior on board is aimed at preventing repeated violations.
