Ten flights to the airports of Siberia’s Abakan, Barnaul, Krasnoyarsk, Novokuznetsk and Tomsk have been delayed due to bad weather conditions, the airports’ call centers told TASS on Sunday.
The weather warning over strong winds, snowfalls and blizzards was announced on Sunday in the majority of Siberian regions. The bad weather has also affected traffic and caused power outage in dozens of settlements in the republics of Altai, Khakassia, Tyva, the Kemerovo, Altai and Krasnoyarsk Regions.
On Sunday, S7-123 flight from Moscow failed to land in Abakan and was redirected to Novosibirsk. In Krasnoyarsk, the arrival of flights from Novosibirsk, Gorno-Altaisk and Severo-Yeniseisk has been delayed. In Tomsk, the arrival of flights from Moscow has been delayed for seven hours. Flights S7-810 and Su-1459 from Moscow to Novokuznetsk have been postponed for 8 and 15 hours.
