Within the BARS 2018 flight tactical exercise, army aviation pilots perform first flight missions - to airlift tactical airborne assault to destination site, and to evacuate special forces from the area occupied by the simulated enemy.
Crews of helicopters are composed of Russian and Serbian pilots.
On the first day, the flights were held in sever weather conditions, low clouds and fallout made the flight missions more complicated.
Mi-8 crews flew at the altitudes less than 100m.
During the first episode of the exercise, four crews from each country participated in the flights.
In the near future, pilots will practise the tasks of intercepting air targets as part of a pair of MiG-29 fighter pilots, as well as evacuation of conditionally affected crews and delivery to a military hospital during the day and at night.
The BARS 2018 flight tactical exercise takes place in Serbia on October 1-5.
