MiG-31 fighters make flights in complicated weather conditions in Kamchatka

Fighter pilots of the Pacific Fleet’s naval aviation base are improving their practical flight experience in complicated weather conditions in Kamchatka.

In the daytime and at night, the MiG-31 crews worked out take-offs and landing in low clouds, instrument piloting in conditions of poor visibility, as well as interaction in groups.

Besides, the pilots trained go-around flight manoeuvres and landings at shortened distances to the symbolically damaged airfield runway.

Flight in complicated weather conditions is an important element for training crews of all-weather MiG-31 interceptor fighters in harsh climates. Particular attention is attached to the development of piloting techniques in difficult weather conditions by young crews.
