Preparing  for the main phase of the Defenders of Friendship 2018 joint Russian-Egyptian tactical exercise,  over 50 Russian paratroopers familiarised themselves with their Egyptian colleagues’ equipment and armament, as well as landed near Cairo using Egyptian T-10 parachutes.

Their landing was performed from C-130 aircraft of the Egyptian Military Transport Aviation.

For eight days, the paratroopers from both countries have been training in tactical employment of various-calibre grenade launchers, machine guns and automatic weapons at a training range of the Egyptian Parachute Troops.

In the course of joint combat training, the Egyptian troops also mastered the Russian Ratnik combat equipage, which significantly increases the effectiveness and survival of a paratrooper on the battlefield.
