The Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) has issued the type certificate for the new Russian PD-14 engine for MC-21 passenger aircraft, said the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation (Minpromtorg).
"PD-14 aircraft engine received a type certificate. The document was signed by the head of the Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) Alexander Neradko," the report said.
The PD-14 engine is developed by the United Engine Corporation (UEC). It is expected that by the end of 2018, three serial PD-14 engines will be produced and delivered to Irkut Corporation (the developer and manufacturer of the MC-21 aircraft).
