At the Kamenny Ruchey airfield of the Pacific Fleet's naval aviation, Tu-142MZ long-range  anti-submarine aircraft had training flights to practise anti-submarine warfare.

Two Tu-142MZ ASW aircraft trained to locate, identify and track submrines of simulated adversary.

Tu-142 pilots supervised by experienced instructors practised navigation over blind country, coordination of flights when piloting without navigation ground-based radio-technical facilities.
