On October 9, Rossiya’s new aircraft, which is named in honor of the capital of the Chukotka Autonomous Region – Anadyr, landed at Vnukovo airport
Rossiya Airlines assigned the new Boeing 777-300ER (Extended Range) aircraft (EI-GFA board number) the name Anadyr in honor of one of the most eastern cities of our country. The fuselage of Rossiya’s new liner is decorated with the city’s name and the coat of arms. The liner is designed to transport 21 passengers of Business class and 436 Economy class passengers. It is planned that the liner will operate domestic and international routes.
Boeing 777-300ER, designed for long-distance flights, are one of the most capacious in the fleets of Russian air carriers and will be actively used by Rossiya on flights of the updated flight program to the Far East. Thus, aircrafts such as Anadyr will help to increase the number of seats on flights of the Far Eastern direction up to 12%, what makes the air connection with the Far East more accessible for passengers.
As one of the largest air carriers of the country, Rossiya Airlines pays special attention to ecological and environmental initiatives of the Far East, to projects, which preserve and increase the population of rare species of animals in particular.
In 2016, the airline implemented a special livery painting project for Boeing 747 with the onboard number EI-XLD: the nose of the liner was decorated with the image of a tiger's head. The aircraft, which received the popular name Tigrolet, has transported more than 200 thousand passengers since the beginning of 2018. The flight geography of the aircraft includes both popular tourist destinations and the Far Eastern regions where the rare predator inhabits. The arrival of the Tigrolet at the airports of the country has always attracted the attention of passengers, stimulating interest in the conservation of rare species of animals, and also reminds us of the necessity to respect nature. This year, Tigrolet brought the organizers and participants of the Eastern Economic Forum to the capital of Primorye.
