Pacific Fleet's An-26 aircraft begins to search for fishing vessel ‘Vostok’

The Pacific Fleet Naval Aviation’s aircraft has joined to the operation to search and rescue the fishing vessel Vostok.

At 6.40 Moscow time, the PF An-26 aircraft with a mobile rescue group on board flew to the designated search area. Pilots in difficult weather conditions are surveying the water surface from a height of 600 to 1,000 metres.

The coordinating headquarters is continuing to operate in the PF Territorial Centre. Being in constant contact with the regional rescue services, this headquarters is monitoring the situation and analysing the incoming information.
