The Pacific Fleet rescue forces have joined search-and-rescue operation of the fishing boat Vostok that had sent a distress signal in the morning in the Japan Sea.
Taking into account severe weather conditions, Pacific Fleet Command took decision to involve the An-26 aircraft with lifesavers on board. The aircraft is ready to immediately head to the search area. Currently, the Mi-8 helicopter is involved in the operation.
The Pacific Fleet Control Centre has been monitoring situation and analyzing received data. All the search-and-rescue forces of the Pacific Fleet have been alerted.
