Today, in accordance with the PF Naval Air Force combat training plan, the Tu-142MZ long-range ASW aircraft carried out practical bombing to engage sea targets.
While flying, the ASW aircraft practised the assigned tasks – search, identification and tracking of the simulated enemy’s ships.
Simulated targets were defeated by the P-50T aerial bombs. In addition, anti-submarine pilots trained in using radar and hydro-acoustic detection means, setting buoys, receiving and analysing the information transmitted by them.
In total, six crews of anti-submarine aircraft of the Pacific Fleet were involved in the drills.
