During New Year holidays in Russia charter flights took advantage of 30% more passengers than during the same period last year, told reporters on Wednesday, the head of the Transportation Department of the Russian Air Transport Agency Andrei Kruglov.
"Altogether, 30% more passengers took advantage of charter flights than last year," Kruglov said.
He added that the main destinations for charter flights were Thailand, China, India, France, Italy, Spain and Cyprus.
Earlier he said that in the New Year holidays in Russia, 700 charter flights were carried out, more than half of them were performed from Moscow airports.
