Pilots of new fighter squadron hold training sorties, Kursk region

Pilots of the newly formed squadron stationed in Kursk region, Western MD, have started first training sorties.

The Su-30SM and MiG-29 SMT crews are training in navigating a plane on extremely small and high altitudes, dogfighting at supersonic speed, landing with mock shut-down engine, and launching non-guided missiles at the Pogonovo training ground, Voronezh region.

The trainings will last for three days. It is planned to carry out more than 40 training sorties, with 20 of them at night. More than 15 crews and 10 MiG-29SMT and Su-30Sm are involved in the drills.
