Today formations of the Ulyanovsk airborne forces unit successfully conducted a route march to an area of the Orenburg region using combined method as a part of a started tactical exercise.

Air landing troops marched in total more than 500 kilometers of frontage and field roads, captured an airdrome of a simulated enemy and got down to preparing troops and personnel for aerial deployment with following parachute landing to a designated position.

In the area of the supposed training actions the airborne forces will be strengthened by a rocket artillery formation of a detached motorized rifle unit. As envisioned by commanders, the attached unit, which poses firepower, will make it possible to increase the speed and effectiveness of measuring up the task in an unfamiliar area.

In course of the exercise air assault and special units of airborne troops in cooperation with the attached ground force will master their skills accomplishing different training task in an unfamiliar area.

Different armored, automotive and special vehicles are involved in the tactical exercise of Airborne troops.

The tactical exercise is scheduled and will continue until September 7, 2017.
