Su-30SM fighter-interceptors from the Western MD Khalino airbase (the Kursk region) practised a night interception of air targets at low and medium altitude simulating a combat and compelling a simulated intruder to land.

Besides, crews eliminated targets, which simulated command posts, engineer forts, personnel and vehicles of a simulated enemy.

Performing flight tasks, pilots, moving in composite flight formation of squadron, conducted electronic launches of air-ground smart missiles and bomb strikes at a target field of the air range.

In total, over 150 servicemen of flight and engineer technical staff were involved in combat training flights, and 26 flights were performed during one session.
