Exercise of the Eastern MD air defence radar unit started in the Far East

The special tactical exercise of radar units of the Eastern MD air defence has started at two training ranges of the Eastern MD, located in the Amur Region and the Primorsky Krai.

The aim of the exercise is to improve the air defence control system.

In course of a practical stage of the exercise radar specialists are to perform control tasks of deployment and topographical location of Nebo and Nebo-SVU modern radar complexes.

Servicemen are to practice sighting, capturing and tracking air crafts, trajectory identification of different air crafts of a simulated enemy.

Besides, radar specialists will master their skills in searching and detecting interference stations of a simulated enemy, obtaining, analyzing and providing information about the air situation in two regions of the Far East.

About 500 servicemen, 40 automobile and special vehicles are involved in the exercise.
