In January-August 2017, the passenger flow at Tolmachevo airport (Novosibirsk) increased by 22% year-on-year to 3.254 million, the airport's press service informed.

In particular, the number of passengers on domestic air routes increased by 15% to 2.303 million, the number of international passengers by 43.1% to 950,780.

For the 8-month period, the airport operated 16,119 departures (+15.2%) and processed 18,291 tonnes of cargoes and mail (+21.5%). 

This August alone, Tolmachevo increased the passenger flow by 12.8% against the same period in 2016 to 545,473, including 399,878 passengers on domestic air routes (+8.6%), 145,595 on international air routes (+26%). 

Last month, the number of departures increased by 10.6% to 2,394, handling of cargoes and mail by 12.2% to 2,492 tonnes.
