In course of the flight tactical exercise of the Fleet Air Arm air base of the Pacific Fleet Kamchatka grouping, about 30 aircraft of the Tu-142M3 long-range ASW, MiG-31 interceptors, Il-38 and Il-38H ASW, An-26 airplanes, Ka-27 and Mi-8 ASW helicopters performed their tasks under a simulated hostile air defence and electronic jamming.

The aircraft flew more than 100 sorties performing tens of tactical episodes to practise assigned tasks.   

One by one, the pilots of interceptors trained in joint tasks of long-range and max altitude air interception. They also practised banked turns, air combat and compelling an intruder to land.
