Russian airlines' 7-month passenger flow up 20.7%

In January-July 2017, according to preliminary data, the passenger flow of Russian airlines increased by 20.7% year-on-year to 58.121 million, Russia's Federal Air Transport Agency informed.

The passenger turnover for this period increased by 23.3% to 143.337 billion passenger-kilometers, the seat load factor by 2.3 p.p. to 82.4%. 

Cargo and mail handling grew by 20.3% to 623,344 tonnes, the cargo turnover by 20.8% to 4.271 billion tonne-kilometers, the revenue load factor by 2.7 p.p. to 69.4%. 

In July 2017, the passenger traffic of Russian air carriers increased by 17.5% to 11.881 million, the passenger turnover by 17.4% to 28.68 billion passenger-kilometers, the seat load factor decreased by 0.2 p.p. to 89.8%. 

Cargo and mail handling grew by 13% to 91,606 tonnes, the revenue load factor by 1.5 p.p. to 75.1%.
