In addition, the gunners and the artillerists worked on grounds four days a week to practice shooting from small arms. In the process of training, each platoon has fired about 15 thousand of rounds at various targets.
The operators of BMD-2 combat vehicles had more than 200 practical shootings on the ranges during the training period, and each of the gunners fired more than 2000 rounds from an automatic gun at targets set at a distance of from 1,200 to 1,800 meters.
The drivers of combat vehicles, improving their skills, conducted numerous trainings. Each driver has covered more than 700 kilometers on military vehicles at the cross-country route, including overcoming various artificial and natural obstacles.
During the competition in China, the Russian paratroopers performed about 70 jumps. The landing was carried out on a limited pad at the mountain range of the Haodyan range (China).
International competition Airborne Platoon was conducted in the period from 29 July to 12 August 2017 on the territory of the People's Republic of China. The competition brought together the People's Republic of China, the Russian Federation, the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Islamic Republic of Iran, South African Republic and of the Kingdom of Morocco.
