The Russian military transferred two military transport aircrafts AN-26 to Kyrgyzstan. The ceremony of handing over the aircrafts took place at the military airport of Kant town, Chui region. This reported by 24.kg News Agency.

As the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General Alexander Fomin noted in his speech, besides two AN-26, the Kyrgyz side also received ground equipment necessary to ensure the operation of the aircrafts.

«Kyrgyzstan can always count on our support,» said Alexander Fomin.

Recall, a decision on the supply of military-technical assistance to Kyrgyzstan worth $ 1 billion was made in 2012 during the visit of the Russian President Vladimir Putin to the Kyrgyz Republic.
