Georgian Airways Tbilisi– Saint-Petersburg flight was delayed on Tuesday night because of a bomb report onboard the aircraft , according to MIR-24.
The Air Company’s information service reported that an anonymous message about the explosive device was received by the airport information service. The security service delayed the flight, which had already begun landing, and searched the liner, luggage and passengers. Because of this, the flight had been detained for more than half an hour.
“The plane landed in Tbilisi at 00:05 am Tbilisi time. According to the flight schedule, the landing in the Georgian capital was scheduled at 11:20 pm. Due to the bomb report, the departure was delayed, as previously scheduled for 07:05 pm. The plane and passengers were repeatedly carefully checked,” the report says.
It is also indicated that the re-check caused no any panic.
